COURSE DESCRIPTION
The PHTLS course focuses on how to identify, manage, and transport trauma patients in the pre-hospital environment while using the highest level of care and giving the patient the greatest chance of survival. The course is appropriate for Nurses, Paramedics, Ambulance Attendants and other Pre hospital care staff.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the course, trainees are issued an internationally recognised certificate valid for 2 years.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- The objective of this course is to improve the quality of trauma care in the surrounding area and decrease mortality.The PHTLS course focuses on how to identify, manage, and transport trauma patients in the pre-hospital environment while using the highest level of care and giving the patient the greatest chance of survival.
